Erica Wright
NovelMystery
Erica Wright’s latest crime novel is The Granite Moth (Pegasus Books). Her debut, The Red Chameleon (Pegasus Books), was one of O, The Oprah Magazine’s Best Books of Summer 2014. She is also the author of the poetry collection Instructions for Killing the Jackal (Black Lawrence Press) and the chapbook Silt (Dancing Girl Press). A new collection, All the Bayou Stories End with Drowned (Black Lawrence Press), will be released in 2017.

Rachel Weaver
Novel
Rachel is the author of the novel Point of Direction, which Oprah Magazine named a Top Ten Book to Pick Up Now. Point of Direction was chosen by the American Booksellers Association as a top ten debut for Spring 2014, by IndieBound as an Indie Next List Pick, by Yoga Journal as one of their top five suggested summer reads and won the 2015 Willa Cather Award for Fiction. Prior to earning her MFA in Writing and Poetics from Naropa University, Rachel worked for the Forest Service in Alaska studying bears, raptors and songbirds. She is the director of the Colorado Writing School and is on faculty at Regis University’s low-residency MFA program.

Diana Xin
Novel
Diana Xin writes fiction, essays, and prose poems, and brings plenty of snacks to the table when she does so. A 2017 Pushcart nominee, her work has won awards and honors from Third Coast Magazine, Beecher’s Magazine, and Narrative Magazine. Her short stories have appeared in Gulf Coast, PANK, Alaska Quarterly Review, and elsewhere. After living in Minneapolis, Chicago, Beijing, and Missoula, she currently resides in Seattle, where she serves as an editor for Moss Lit, a journal of Pacific Northwest writing. She also teaches on occasion at the Richard Hugo House and the Loft Literary Center.

Laura Scott
NovelShort Story
Laura worked in creative writing education programs at Hugo House, earned an MFA at the U of Montana, published some stories, taught fiction, and is a MacDowell Colony fellow. Mostly, she’s committed to a lifelong writing practice, and has thought a lot about how to build one that works.

Courtney Bird
Novel
Courtney Bird is a storyteller focused on fiction and folklore. Born in New Jersey, Courtney holds an MFA from the University of Montana and a BA in art history from Princeton. Her stories have appeared in The Fairy Tale Review, The Masters Review, The Indiana Review, Barrelhouse, and The Los Angeles Review, among others. A two-time Pushcart nominee, Courtney’s work was awarded the Fairy Tale Review’s prize in fiction and listed as Notable in American Best Science Fiction and Fantasy. Prior to pursuing her writing career, she worked in rare books and manuscripts. Courtney lives in Seattle, where she is currently a Hugo House Fellow.
